Baillie Gifford sponsorship scheme boosts women’s team funds

We’re delighted to share the news that investment management firm Baillie Gifford have donated £1,000 to our East Kilbride Pirates Women’s team through their small awards sponsorship scheme for staff members.

EKPW team member Karyn McIntosh, a client administrator with the firm, flagged the opportunity last month, allowing the club to submit an application for funds from the scheme which supports the arts, academia, social responsibility and grassroots sports.

The money will go towards buying equipment including additional helmets, helping the team to grow and encourage more young women to take part and get active through sport.
